The best foods that going to help you have a flat belly or, keep a flat belly are going to be different for everyone, but generally you want stick with foods that are high in fiber and that aren’t going to cause any bloating or indigestion or add any extra fat to your waistline. So, foods that are high in fiber are things like whole grains, nuts and seeds, beans, leafy green vegetables. All of those are great fiber foods. Flax seeds are another really good one and they give you all that good omega 3, that is a really great anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps to calm some indigestion problems. The other flat belly ideas that you might want to keep in mind are to avoid things that are going to cause bloating and add fat to your waistline. So you really want to avoid things like high fructose corn syrup, and refined sugars and also packaged and bakery products, because those are going to be harder for your body to digest. Fructose corn syrup has to be metabolized through your liver which just wants to turn it into fat and that’s going to go onto your waistline. But one of the secrets to having a flat belly that isn’t actually a food is stress. When you’re under constant low level stress whether it’s from email, phone calls, traffic, relationships, your work life, relationships, that constant stress adds fat to your body especially around your mid-section. So if you find you have been adding on weight around your belly, you really want to look at incorporating lifestyle techniques, relaxation, maybe some yoga, a vacation, even a hot bath at the end of the night can help your body to calm down, start soothing your body so it can release that extra weight from around your mid-section.
