The next superfood is actually sweet and good for you too; it's the sweet potato. With only 90 calories it's an extremely nutritious food and it's loaded with beta-carotene, it's high in fiber, Vitamin A and Potassium. One of the things that I like the most about the sweet potato is the fact that it can help stabilize blood sugar levels. So when I work with diabetic clients this is a food that I work with them to incorporate into their diet. Here is a tip on how to prepare a sweet potato. What I do is I take the sweet potato and I wash it and then I rub olive oil on the outside of the skin, and then poke a few holes with a fork. I bake it for about 40 minutes and then I season it with some soy butter and some cinnamon. And I am on my way to a delicious, nutritious sweet potato. With only 90 calories sweet potatoes are great superfood to add to your diet.
