One of the most common problems that women come to me for and natural solutions for is of course acne. Sometimes treating acne has more to do with getting to the root of the cause and eliminating the trigger then it does with adding any actual products to your routine. Acne can be caused by external irritants, which can include laundry detergents or skincare products that have harsh detergents, dyes, or fragrance. You want to definitely start by eliminating any of those in your detergents or skincare products. Acne can also be caused by food allergies that you may not even know about. Um, or foods that may contain byproducts that can exacerbate acne, like non organic diary products. Or acne can actually be caused by overproduction of oil in the skin, which can attract dirt, and bacteria, and clog the pores. If that is the case, the good news is there is an excellent natural solution, which is actually, surprisingly adding oil to the skin. Most of us think to avoid oils when we are experiencing acne, because it feels like our skin is already to oily. Actually natural oils like Argon oil can help re-balance the skin, and stop the skin from overproducing oil while clearing out the pores, and preventing breakouts. Ironically conventional acne skincare products can actually exacerbate acne. After they initially dry out your skin, which may make your skin feel cleaner and clearer. What's gonna happen is that your skin is gonna have a rebound oil attack, which brings on more breakouts. Which leads you to buy more products, which is sort of a vicious cycle. Which is why natural skincare is really the preferred way to treat acne. It gets to the root of the problem and it is more of a cure than a treatment.
