How to Get Out of a Two-Handed Front Choke in Jiu Jitsu

Learn how to get out of a two-handed front choke from Alliance MMA black belt Babs Olusanmokun in this Howcast Brazilian Jiu Jitsu video.

This is defense of a two handed throat grab.

When you grab by the throat like so, the most important thing is that you don’t panic. As he puts pressure on my throat, I put some pressure on his wrist, just to take a little pressure off. I’m not going to be able to yank his hands off. Let’s assume he’s stronger than me. I pull down on his wrist just a little, I roll my head out. Pull down on the wrist a little, roll your head out. Or, he grabs me by the throat, it’s a lot of pressure, I don’t panic, I pull down on his wrist I can hit him right down from under the arm, then I roll my head out.

And that’s the proper way you can do a two-handed throat grab defense.
