The number one sprain is a sprained ankle. We see it all the time. People roll their ankles or they step funny. They step wrong and your muscles get affected. You can sprain any kind of joint, your wrist, your shoulder. You want to rest it. So, you want to stop the activity that you're doing. You want to put some ice on it and you want to compress it. If you have an ace bandage or something like that, you want to stop any kind of swelling right away. The more swelling you have, the more damage can occur. You always want to get it checked out. You always want to make sure it's nothing more than a sprain and you always want to see if there's something else you can do. Your doctor has a lot of good advice. They see these all the time. No injury is too small to go see your doctor. Your doctor would rather see a small injury than see something that wasn't taken care of and turned into a bigger injury. So, if you feel like you have a sprain or an injury in your neck or your back, anything around the spine or your neck, you really want to get it checked out. If you have anything that can hurt you enough to make you feel like you have a sprain in those areas, then you have something that could really hurt you in other ways. Some underlying damage that you may not see right away, that you want to get checked out before it gets any worse.
