Once upon a time/in the middle of the woods

Hi friends, I’m Jamie. We’re going to do the story of "The Three Bears." It’s going to be a hand play.
So let’s make sure that our hands are working. Say, "Wake up Hands." And shake them out, open and shut them just like this. And we’re going to get them started on our legs, just like this. Are we ready?

Once upon a time/in the middle of the woods/there were Three Bears
One was the papa bear — grrr/one was the mama bear — ahhh/and one was the baby bear
Along came a girl/with curly blond hair/She knocked on the door/and no one was there
She went right in/and she didn’t even care/Home, home, home came the papa bear — grrr
Home, home, home came the mama bear — ahhh/and home, home, home came the baby bear.

Someone’s been eating my porridge said the papa bear — grrr/someone’s been eating my porridge, said the mama bear — ahhh/and someone’s been eating my porridge and it’s all gone, said the baby bear

Someone’s been sitting in my chair, said the papa bear — grrr/Someone’s been sitting in my chair, said the mama bear — ahhh/and someone’s been sitting in my chair and it’s broken.

Someone’s been sleeping in my bed, said the papa bear — grrr/Someone’s been sleeping in my bed, said the mama bear — ahhh/and someone’s been sleeping in my bed and she’s still there.

Just then Goldie Locks opened her eyes. She stretched way up high in the air and she got right out of there. Bye-bye-bye, said the papa bear — grrr/Bye-bye-bye, said the mama bear — ahhh/and bye-bye-bye, said the baby bear.

And that was the end of their tale. That was "The Three Bears." I hope you played along with me.
