Aaron: Hi guys, I’m Aaron.

Christina: And I’m Christina.

Aaron: And we’re joining you again from Dance Times Square here in New York City, and today we are going to be talking about the cha-cha basic action and how it moves from side to side. So what we’re going to do today is we’re going to start with the same count we discussed before.

One, two, three, four, and one. And what we’re going to be doing is starting with our left foot. Today we’re going to start with our left foot, and we’re going to start on count one, again with the step to the side. Side, back, replace, side, together, side, forward, replace, side, together, side. And two, three, four, and one, two, three, four, and one. And that’s how you do the cha-cha basic.

Christina: Now we are going to dance this cha-cha basic to some music. So I’m going to count in five, six, seven, eight, and then we’ll begin going to the side with our left foot. First time through, I’ll tell you where the feet are going. Second time through, I’ll use counts. Five, six, seven, eight. Side, back, replace, side, together, side, forward, back, side, together, side. Two, three, four and one, two, three, four and one, two, three, four and one. Five, six, seven, eight.
