Learn about Uprima, a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction, in this Howcast video.
Uprima is a compound that acts as a dopamine agonist. What this means is that it is a centrally-acting agent. Unlike some of the other treatments for erectile dysfunction, this medication works on the central nervous system to stimulate dopamine receptors. One of the consequences of this may be enhancement of erectile function.
However, there can also be some serious side effects to using these medications, and nausea and vomiting are reported as some of the common side effects.
The medication is taken as a dissovable form under the tongue. However, the efficacy for treatment of erectile dysfunction is not completely clear, and this medication is not approved by the FDA in the United States for use for erectile dysfunction.
