How to Do a Kimura from North South MMA Submission

Learn how to do a kimura from north south MMA submission from Team Radical MMA head coach Rene Dreifuss in this Howcast video.

Instructor: All right guys, now we have another variation of hitting that Bronco Kimora. I’m going to enter it in a really, really interesting way that gives me another submission. It’s sort of like an inverted arm lock, compression arm bar. I’m going to show it to you. I’m in side control and I go again to this position. Now, he moves his arm over here. It can also be I’m in side control here in this situation, okay? I bring my arm over in here and I rotate to north south. This is where we start. He taps. I get my grip, shift him up, and he taps. Again, knee down, knee up, it doesn’t matter. Let’s go through that again. Side control, he’s hand over here or as I come over here he brings it over here to protect himself. Rotate around. This arm comes deep, deep this way. Now, I shoot this arm this way and my head goes that way against his wrist, and you should make him tap. Chad, when I get you, if they can’t see your hand, make sure you say "tap" so they know. So, I’m here. Now watch, it’s a straight arm lock.

Chad: Tap. Tap.

Instructor: Pop it out and here. He’s already gotten a broken arm, but just in case I didn’t, I’m here, I rotate him up, against your body, finish. Let’s do that one more time. He’s going to start here. One, two, this is where we start. Rotate to north south, grind this guy in.

Chad: Tap.

Instructor: Get the grip. Same Kimora grip as always. Bring him up, pull out against your body. Let’s do it one more time. That’s our other variation of the Bronco Kimora.
