Thanks so much for sharing this information. I am a retired senior citizen and have snakes in my backyard. My neighbors have them too and this subdivision is only three years old, and we are not in the wilderness. This is a established community and most subdivisions here are 10-20 and more years old. One of my neighbors recommended sulphur, another said to use mothballs. I am going to follow your advice which really sounds like a winner.
