You Will Need

  • 20 Shrimp pieces
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp. Red chili powder
  • 2 tsp. Tandoori masala
  • 2 tbsp. Lemon juice
How To Make Pan Seared Shrimp - Indian Recipe Video: Wash and de-vein shrimp

Step 1: Wash and de-vein shrimp

Wash and de-vein the shrimp, keeping the tail on or off.

Step 2: Marinate shrimp

Combine salt, turmeric, red chili powder, tandoori masala, and lemon juice and let it marinate for a minimum of 1/2 hour.

Step 3: Heat skillet

Heat a skillet on high heat and add about 1/2 tsp of oil. Allow oil to heat.

Step 4: Add shrimp to skillet

Add the shrimp, cover and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes.

Remove cover and flip the shrimp over. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Shrimp should get a little caramelized/seared.
