This video will show you how to create Facebook Widgets using Microsoft’s Popfly application. This will require a Facebook account and a Windows Live account
Go to www.popfly.com and create a Windows Live account. If you already have one, just sign in using that.
Once signed in, select "Create A Mashup
Add a Facebook Widget from the list on the left to the stage in the middle of the screen. Click on the link that says “Missing Key” and sign in to Facebook (or create an account) to have a key generated.
From the list to the left, drag a Virtual Earth Widget to the stage in the middle of the screen. Do the same thing for a GeoNames widget.
Click on the Wrench icon in the upper right corner of the Facebook Widget to view it’s properties. In the properties of the Facebook Widget, set the “Operations:” to “getFriends” and set the value to the number of friends you want to retrieve.
Link the Facebook Widget to the GeoNames Widget and then edit the GeoNames properties changing the source to “Facebook” and the value to “city”.
Link both the Facebook and GeoNames widgets to the Virtual Earth widget. The properties of the Virtual Earth widget will automatically adjust themselves.
Remove all of the Widgets except for the Facebook Widget. Then drag a PhotoStack widget onto the stage.
Change the Facebook Widget properties, so that the “Operations:” is set to “getPhotosOfMe”.
Link the Facebook widget to the PhotoStack widget.

Wow - it looks like Microsoft actually has a somewhat useful product!

Looks good but Popfly and especially Virtual Earth Crashed on Firefox. What the point of creating a mashup when you restrain the access of your website to only one OS, One Browser?

Don't bother with windows, wait Google to release something easier, open-source and not windows shitty stuff.

I am a newbie and was wondering where you might use these widgets? On your website? On your Facebook page? Interesting and thorough video -- nice look to it, too!
