Not only is it the framework of your entire system, one wrong move, and you can kill expensive components, even the entire machine. But never fear! TigerTV host Logan has done these kinds of motherboard installs hundreds of times. « less

Warning
This video is typical of information on the Internet - and is going to cause many poorly built computers. 1. NEVER remove your motherboard - or any component, from the anti-static packaging until you are ready to install it. 2. NEVER handle your components without being grounded. 3. ONLY place components into the PC, into their anti-static packaging or onto a correctly grounded, conductive pad. 4. Those 'FLAPS' on the 'In-Out-Panel' (love the technical jargon there) are spring sets to ensure correct seating of the motherboard. DO NOT just bend them out of the way. 5. This whole video was done without grounding - don't do this otherwise the whole system will be effected by static-discharge. So many people say 'I don't use grounding straps and my computer's work'. Well that's as maybe, but static-discharge damage doesn't necessarily stop a component working - it will however reduce its operating performance - ALWAYS. I've posted this as a Warning - but it is all fact. (Information gained from over 12 years as a professional IT Engineer)
