Phyllis Curott is a pioneering Wiccan Priestess, attorney, and internationally best-selling author of numerous books, including her ground-breaking memoir Book of Shadows and the first Wiccan how-to book, Witch Crafting: A Spiritual Guide to Making Magic. She was honored by Jane magazine as one of “The Ten Gutsiest Women of the Year” and New York magazine described her international lectures and workshops as among the culture's most intellectually cutting edge. Curott founded the Temple of Ara, one of America's oldest shamanic Wiccan traditions, and she is Vice-Chair of the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions. She received her BA in philosophy from Brown University and her Juris Doctor at NYU Law School.
