How to Dress If You Have a Pear-Shaped Body

If the circumference of your hips is 10 or more inches greater than the circumference of your waist, you're a classic pear shape. Transform it into an hourglass with these clothing tricks.


  • Step 1: Wear darker colors on bottom to slim your hips and thighs.
  • Step 2: Draw attention to the upper half of your body with boatneck tops, patterned or beaded necklines, scarves, chunky necklaces, or a shawl.
