- Step 1: Rub oil on skin Rub body oil on the entire surface of your skin, including between your fingers and toes. Allow the oil to soak into your skin for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Step 2: Sit in a bath Draw a warm bath and hop in. If it's only been a few hours, the water will help remove the tanner.
- Step 3: Exfoliate in shower Use body scrub and a loofah while you're in the tub to lightly exfoliate surface skin cells.
- TIP: Self-tanner dyes the surface of the skin. You will need to exfoliate over the course of a few days to completely remove the tanner.
- Step 4: Towel off and moisturize Towel-dry your body and use moisturizing lotion to keep your skin from drying out.
- Step 5: Rub lemon on skin Rub your skin with a cotton ball soaked in lemon juice to naturally exfoliate dead cells to get rid of remaining streaks. Then shower as usual.
- Step 6: Use self-tan remover Use commercial self-tanner remover for especially stubborn streaks and splotches.
