How to Play Guitar Hammer-Ons on Guitar

Learn how to play hammer-ons in this Howcast video for beginner guitar players.

OK. Next is hammer-ons. Hammer-ons, pull off, trills. They all belong to something called slurs. So all that means is I'm playing 2 notes or more, but I'm just going to use 1 pick stroke in order to make that happen. So I'm going to, let's say, hammer-on here from the 5th fret to the 7th fret on the 3rd string. So all that means is I'm playing the note, and without using my right hand again, I'm going to hammer-on with my ring finger. Right? So let's hear that again. All right, so you don't hear 2 pick attacks, right? You only hear 1. So you can hammer-on the whole pentatonic scale if you'd like. All right? So now you can start making your melodies more voice-like, right? There you go hammer-ons.
