Hello my name is Joe 'doc Huston and I am here at my friend's gym in Portland, Oregon to share some tricks, tactics and strategies to help you get the most out of your boxing career The most important thing that you can do to get a good work out in is to bring motivation and energy with you to the gym. Because you will need it to overcome the arduous and difficult process of learning to box and getting into shape. And the best way to do this is to begin thinking about your workout in advance. If you've got an arduous workout in the afternoon start planning it out when you wake up. Think about what you want to learn, what you want to work on, and also what you've leaned in previous lessons that you want to go ahead and bring with you. So as you walk into the gym, imagine your upcoming opponent walking into their gym at exactly the same moment. And while you are in the midst of your workout you should be asking yourself is she working harder than I am? Is she even better than I am? Does she listen to her coach better? And remember that this training session is the fight before the fight and you don't want to lose that one up at bat.
