My name is Lawrence Grecco. I live in New York City, and I'm a Life Coach and an Astrologer. I've been practicing Astrology for over 20 years. You can check out my website at zenrising.com. I'm here to talk to you today about Horoscopes. An astrologer looks at a person's natal horoscope, which is essentially a map of the skies at the moment someone was born. So we look at the planets, we look at the signs in which the planets fall and we look at the houses in which those planets and signs fall to make some determinations about the person's character. It helps us to get insight into their personality, their vocational abilities, their relationship, possibilities and patterns and any kind of, you know, strengths or weaknesses, or talents. So, each of the planets in the horoscope represent different aspects of our character. Now, all of the signs in which those planets fall represent the manner in which those aspects of our character get expressed. And then the houses represent the different areas of life in which those aspects of our character are worked through. So for example, a planet is sort of like the actor, the sign is sort of like the costume they wear or the role they're playing, and the house is like the stage or the setting, or the environment in which the story is being told. So if you, for anyone who wants to become an astrologer, first and foremost you have to learn all the basics; so it's important to read a lot of books, it's important to study with a teacher or a few teachers over the course of at least several years. And then, what's most important is to just practice reading horoscopes as much as possible. So, practice reading your friend's horoscope, practice reading you family's horoscopes, practice reading strangers' horoscopes. So, the more practice you get the better. it's the kind of art that needs you to really be able to interpret symbology and to think abstractly. So, if you're capable of creative and abstract thinking you could be a wonderful astrologer.
