If you want to say something like 'I have a date with Maria', you would say, "Tengo una cita con Maria." Try it. If someone asks you, "?Tienes una cita con Maria?" do you have a date with Maria? You would say, "Si, tengo una cita con Maria." Go ahead, try it. ?Tienes una cita con Maria?
