What is up guys? This is Patriots from RealGamersTV and today I'm going to be talking about the shotguns in Call of Duty Black Ops.

There are four shotguns in Black Ops, the Olympia, the Stakeout, the SPAS-12, and the HS10. The first shotgun of the game is the Olympia. It's unlocked from the start in the default play. It is the only double barrel shotgun in the game and it ties for highest damage of the shotguns according to the stats with the Stakeout, but it's very unpredictable when it comes to one shot kill. It has no attachments and reloads in 3.3 with a shell left and 3.9 when emptied. I recommend a class of Light Weight, Sleight of Hand, and Marathon as you'll be needing to get right up in their face if you want to kill them.

The second shotgun is the Stakeout. It is unlocked at level eight and is the only pump action shotgun in the game. When fully reloaded it holds four shells and reloads one shell at a time. A good strategy when close to someone is to reload one shell then double tap Y or triangle to stop the reload leaving you with one shell to blast away your enemy. It has a grip attachment which I recommend using because it increases the accuracy from the hip which can help in a surprise gunfight. I would also again recommend Light Weight, Sleight of Hand, and Marathon because you're going to need to get close if you plan on killing anyone.

The third shotgun in the game is the SPAS-12. The SPAS is unlocked at level 24 and is one of the two semi-automatic shotguns in the game. It is by far the best option of the shotguns. It has a silencer attachment which is glitched and not affect the range or damage so use it all times. When fully reloaded it holds eight shells and reloads one shell at a time. Again, a good strategy if you are up close is to put a shell or two in and then double tap Y or triangle to stop the reload and blast your enemy away. Because the gun is actually effective, I would suggest once you get good with it to run Scavenger, Sleight of Hand and Marathon as your class.

The fourth and final shotgun in the game is the HS10. The HS10 is a declassified shotgun so it is unlocked after you purchase all of the others. It is the second of two semi-automatic shotguns in the game. This shotgun is special because it is the only one that offers dual-wield capabilities. If you choose to dual-wield, I suggest you use Scavenger, Steady Aim, and Marathon. When single, it holds four shells and reloads one at a time. The double tap Y or triangle is also effective when using the HS10.

Even though I would suggest using another class of weapon, these shotguns are still a fun and effective way of playing Call of Duty Black Ops. This has been Patriots for RealGamersTV and I'll see you all later.
