"Hi. I'm Patricia Longo and I'm a celebrity make up artist. I've worked with models from Sports Illustrated like Brooklyn Decker and Julie Henderson to Alec Baldwin at ""30 Rock"". All those things that experts do that the average person doesn't know how to do we'll learn how to do it on these videos.
I always say there's more than one mascara that's going to do the job on you and it really doesn't matter if your lashes are short or long. There are three mascaras that I really, really love. If you have short lashes and you want to elongate your lashes I would go with the L'Oreal's Voluminous. The Original is fabulous for long lashes. It just creates this long look. And, if you don't have many lashes and you need to thicken it up a bit, the Cover Girl's Lash Blast is really good for making it nice and thick. But when you do thick mascara you definitely have to separate it with a comb afterwards, because then you'll just get clumps, especially if you put it on too heavy. And I always tell people to take the excess mascara off the brush, but the brush is really important. I had shown, in one of the videos that, if you have a long brush, with long fibers on it, it usually makes the lashes longer. A fat brush, with short, short, little combs in it - I would say teeth, I like to say they're like little teeth - the short little teeth always makes it thick, thick, thick. So those are the two things you should be looking at: it's the actual brush inside the mascara. And those two are my favorite. My final one is probably the DiorShow, Christian DiorShow. It does both, it thickens and lengthens and it happens to be one of the best mascaras out there.
