"Hi my name is Patricia Longo and I'm a celebrity makeup artist. I've worked with models from Sport's Illustrated like Brooklyn Decker and Julie Henderson to Alex Baldwin and 30 Rock. All those things that the experts do that the average person doesn't know how to do, we'll learn how to do it on these videos.

How to apply eyebrow makeup. Catherine doesn't need a lot of eyebrow makeup; she has beautiful, thick eyebrows. So if you have beautiful, thick eyebrows I usually recommend an angle brush like this. Take a brownish shadow - and you don't have to get any specific - an eyeshadow that's sort of close to her eyebrow color is perfect. And what I do is I just fill in just the little empty spaces that she has. And I bring it out; I follow the eyebrow, and then I bring it down. And the reason why I recommend a shadow is because she really doesn't need a lot of eyebrow makeup. Sometimes I'll just use my finger and smudge it in there. Follow the eyebrow. And then I'll take a brush and go up with the eyebrow. And I just filled in her eyebrow with eyeshadow.

So we're talking about eyebrow makeup and as you know for Catherine, being that she has beautiful eyebrows, she just needs a nice light brown shadow, eyeshadow, with a brush, with an angled brush, and dabbing it in softly. So when you're doing eyebrows on somebody who doesn't have a lot of eyebrow I would recommend using a small angular brush that's more precision-typed. And I would use a little bit of a gel - Smashbox has a great one - a little bit of a gel, you dip it in to the gel, then you dip it into the eyeshadow. And then if I wanted to build her eyebrow I would bring it down; make it fuller. But with the gel and the eyeshadow it stays on better. Catherine already had beautiful eyebrows but if I wanted to bring it down, this brush just makes it a little sharper. So if you really want a sharp look you go with a smaller, angular precision brush.

The final step that I love with eyebrow makeup is an eyebrow gel. And this eyebrow gel will hold in Catherine's eyebrows so they won't move, they'll stay up and sharp all throughout the day (or night).

So my 3 steps that I love most about eyebrow makeup is getting an eyeshadow with an angular brush, filling in the spots that you don't have as many eyebrows, and then the third and final step is just putting everything in place with my eyebrow gel. And that pretty much holds the eyebrow still for the whole day. "
