5 Tips for Fast Morning Makeup

Let professional makeup artist Patricia Longo teach you the five secrets to putting on makeup fast in this makeup tutorial from Howcast.

Hi, I'm Patricia Longo and I'm a celebrity make-up artist. I've worked with models from Sports Illustrated like Brooklyn Decker and Julie Henderson to Alec Baldwin at Thrity Rock. All those things that experts do that the average person doesn't know how to do will learn how to do it on these videos. So I always cringe when I'm sitting on the subway and I'm watching someone try to do their make-up in five minutes and they're like, opening up their compact and it's dropping and they're taking a sponge and they're rubbing it on their skin and I can see that the sponge is dirty and old and they've probably used it about twenty times. So I don't like that. I um, I would love to pull someone aside and say let me just tell you what you can do in five minutes at home. Get your face on before you get on the subway. I recommend using a simple brush, a powder brush. And if you're really in a rush you can use the Studio Fix from Mac. It's their powder foundation and you swirl it on. You throw it on the T zone, gets right in there. All the way around the face in two minutes. You take a lovely blush brush. Swirl it in the blush. And I throw the blush all on the cheeks and even on the eyes. If you throw that bright blush on the cheeks and the eyes, there's your eyeshadow and your blush all at once. Then my third tip is throwing on my mascara. I never walk out of the house without my mascara. And my fourth tip is always my concealer. I never leave home without my concealer. But I take a little bit of the concealer and I dab it here, here, from here all the way around and then I blend, blend, blend, blend, blend. And then I take a quick lipgloss and I'm out. So my five quick tips in the morning to get your makeup done in five minutes is powder foundation with a big powder brush all over the face, a nice bright blush on the cheeks and on the eyes, right on the eyelids as if it were eyeshadow. Number three is mascara, mascara, mascara. My fourth is my concealer which I never go out the door without. Little concealer under the eyes. Blend, blend, blend. And my lip gloss and I have a full face on in five minutes
