My name is Michelle Dittrich, and i'm a makeup artist. I've done makeup on a lot of celebrities, Pam Anderson, Kayne West, Lenny Kravitz, Cynthia Nixon. There is a big misconception that I could never do that look on the runway and you absolutely can, everybody can. you'll play to your best attributes and I can show you how to do that. We are going to talk about lip gloss for a moment because there are so many options when it comes to lip gloss. How do you know which one is right for you? I am going to show you, three different types of course there are many more, actually four different, clear aswell. But um, I picked neutral colors, all kind of a honey, golden, bronzey tone so that you can see the difference. Which I'm actually going to show you on my hand first, before i apply to Billy, because we are going to turn Billys look into a summer look building on her natural look. So maybe you can decide to, before I apply it, which one we should pick. This is a sheer gloss, with a brown honey kind of hue. This is an opaque gloss. So its very, its going to really, give you the Bridget Bardot nude lip. It is really pretty but, I would only recommend this, either A. When you have a tan or B. When your wearing really dramatic eyes, Because its really going to take the pink out of your lip, and then. Billy would you be so kind. Ye I will hold on to it for you. Thank you, thank you. Then we have a shimmer, which this also could, this is a very sheer shimmer. Beautiful, but um they also come in opaque, shimmer opaque, um matte opa.. I mean they come in every other kind of formula etc. You just have to play, and have someone put them on you or try them out yourself to figure out which one. Finally there is a really, really glossy gloss, er clear gloss which you can wear on bare lips, you can wear it on top of a stain. Generally i dont recommend it on top of a regular lipstick because it moves around too much, you might as well go with a gloss that has color to it. But if you want to put this on top of a stain, it is super hot, super hot. So, Billy which one do you think I'm gonna pick to put on you. Right on top of what you allready have on. Um I think you are probably going to pick that one or that one, am i wrong? Ok, your correct I was gonna go with the shimmery bronzey one, so good job. So, right out of the tube. Some have sponge applicators some have brushes, doesn't really matter only that if your putting it on top of a lipstick with a sponge applicator, you need to just dab it. In order to not actually remove the lipstick. With the brush you can be a little bit easier, and more liberal with it. So, starting in the middle of her lip, just brush it across and blend it in, and it is stunning oh my goodness. So also remember, you can play with glosses and your lipsticks that you allready have. So you dont want to buy a new lipstick, But you wanna get some... keep that lipstick and have a different color. Wear the gloss by its self, you can wear the lipstick by its self. But if you put them together you make a new color which is really pretty and its fun to do. So that is a small, brief description of gloss, there are many to play with, but now we are going to, in the next video take this look in to a really bronzey summer look.some talking over each other, chose the more important dialog.
