Hi, I'm Debbie Catz. I'm a certified clinical hypnotherapist here in the San Francisco Bay area. I have a masters degree in social work. To learn more about this you can visit my website at www.norcalhypno.com. And now I'm going to help you understand the simplicity of hypnosis. There are many hypnotherapy, hypnotism schools around the country and probably the world. And what you wanna do is you wanna check them out. You wanna think about what your goals are. Why do you wanna become a hypnotist What is it you hope to do? What do you see yourself doing? Do you want to help people with habit reduction like smoking and weight loss, things like that? Or do you wanna do some deeper kind of work. And so what you wanna find out based on what you're looking for, find out whether they teach the courses that you're looking for. There are some schools or programs that are just a weekend long. And then you might have to go on hopefully and do more training and get some more education. But the basics are taught in sometimes in just a weekend course. And also talking to the people who have gone to the schools. You know, we have the internet now, we have Yelp, we have all kinds of ways to check out different schools and different organizations and see what people are saying about them. How many hours they are and what advanced training do they offer in that particular school cause most of them will offer some sort of advanced program. And talk to people. SOme schools are more for a lay person, like somebody who just wants to become a hypnotist, doesn't know a lot about it. And then there are other programs like the one I went to, the Wellness Institute, which required you to be a therapist because it's more clinical training and it's doing the analytical hypnotherapy which is the deeper work that requires a more advanced degree and more training. So, check out the schools, check out the programs, talk to people, check the, out online. And then go and interview them and see what you think about the school and the program. And keeping in mind your goals and you'll find what you're looking for. Good luck.
