My name's Dana Dunn. I've been working in the piercing business going on 6 years now. I do typically about 3,000 to 4,000 a year. I work at Pins and Needles Tattoo. We have a website pinsandneedlesportland.com. Piercing is my life and I'm going to talk to you about body piercing. The best advice I can give is to just do some research. Make sure that it's something that you want, and make sure that it's something you're going to want for a long time. Because yes, there are some shops out there you could go in there and say, "I want to get a piercing but I don't know what I want, what should I get?" And there are some shops that are just in it for the money, you know. Me, this is my job, this is what I love to do. I love to do something for somebody that is going to make them different and unique to other people. With any piercing, again, just do some research, make sure that you're up for taking care of it. Make sure that your jobs are okay with it. Make sure that, you know, family's okay with it. Make sure that you're not going to be, you know, shunned upon when it comes to school, you know, everything like that. Just make sure that it's something that you truly want. It's nothing to just jump into. Yes, it can be removed, but again, you don't want to spend the money on something and a week later you decide, "Oh, I really don't like this." With any piercing, again, just make sure that you're up for the challenge. Make sure you're ready for the pain, make sure you know what you need to take care of it. Make sure you're up on it. Just make sure that the piercing that you're in for is really something that you want to keep.
