Hi I'm Miss Pop, a New York City based nail artist, and we are here at my favorite bar/nail salon. Beauty Bar, right here on 14th St in New York City. Today I'm going to show you my favorite nail designs and let you in on some secrets. So lets get started. Now we're going to do ladybug nails with rhinestone eyes. So actually to start off the ladybug it's just a half moon at the bottom of your nail for the face. You want to make it nice and big so that there's plenty of room for the rhinestones; because that is the crucial get-down.
Now I'm going to use a brush that's a little thinner, a little longer, a little closer to what you will find in nail-art brushes; but it's just to do a very thin stripe. So since I'm a little bit of a perfectionist I'm just going to steal this black away. This is an orange stick; I gently put some cotton around it. You can use a cotton ball and just touch it up; and see it's just bye-bye extra black. Now I'm going to use a motter. It's just a little dotter; and it will give you the perfect shape dot. It comes in, as you can see, a bunch of sizes. This is a number three. So just put a little black polish on the dotter; and then dot away. Now for the rhinestone eyes, semi just apply a little top coat at the bottom of this rhinestone and then lay it in. Be sure and use a special top coat for rhinestones otherwise it will turn your rhinestones fuzzy and they won't sparkle at all. And that's how you can do ladybug fingernails.
