Hi, I'm Dr. Elissa Lunder. I've been practicing dermatology at Dermatology Partners in Wellesley, Massachusetts for the past 10 years. I believe that skin care doesn't have to be complicated. With a few simple steps you can have beautiful skin. You can visit Dermatology Partners on the web at dermatologypartnersinc.com. So today we're gonna talk about skin care. If you eat junk, your skin is gonna look like junk. So you really wanna make sure that you have a diet that's filled with lots of fruits and vegetables and antioxidants. You wanna make sure that your dinner plate is filled with a rainbow of colors of different fruits and vegetables. If you're eating the rainbow of fruits and vegetables you are making sure that you are getting plenty of great fruits and vegetables that will help your skin look fantastic. You wanna make sure that you're hydrating your skin by drinking at least eight glasses of water a day. And yo can't eat enough antioxidants. So, green tea is another antioxidant that reduces inflammation and will make your skin look better. The more antioxidants you eat, the better that your skin is gonna look. For people that are breaking out with acne, you may wanna try a dairy free diet. There's been some evidence that cutting dairy completely out of your diet will help clear up your complexion. Now, we know that there's a clear association between diet and a few skin diseases. Fro example, Rosacea. Rosacea is a type of skin rash where people get redness and they get pimples. So for those people you wanna avoid spicy food, you wanna avoid red wine. So just the way you wanna eat for a healthy heart you wanna eat for healthy skin.
