I'm Lisa Butterworth sometimes known as Kenzi and I'm a henna artist and the owner of a henna supply business, kenzi.com. Today I'll unleash your inner henna artist and have you drawing henna designs all over your friends and anyone else who will sit still. There are a lot of tools that you can use to do henna with and you can try them all and see which you like best. In South Asia, which is India , Pakistan and Bangladesh and a lot of the middle East they use a plastic cone. In India milk comes in bags and so a lot of the henna artists in India use that plastic milk bag to make cones out of. Here in the west we use mylar wrapping paper which is what I have here, you can also use the plastic that comes wrapped around flowers and you can also use salad bags or chip bags so that's one of the tools that you can use. Umm in Morocco they use the syringe, they actually have special henna syringes and they mix their henna paste a little bit thinner and they mix it in a little tea glass and then use the syringe to suck the henna up and then when they henna they depress the plunger and the henna just kind of flows so they have to work really fast to keep up with the flow of henna umm what I use and what a lot of artists in the west use is something called a Jaccard bottle. This is a Jaccard bottle that's full of henna with the tip on. This bottle umm has a cap that screw on and off which is really handy for umm keeping the past from getting all over your stuff when you're just storing the bottle like in your bag and then it has this little plastic tip that pops out and pops in so you pop it out to fill up the bottle with henna paste and then you pop it back in very easily and then you just screw on these little metal tips and the metal tips come in three different sizes small, medium and large and umm I like to use the medium one for most of my work and again these are called Jaccard bottles.
