Your health plays a big role in the quality of your sleep. So it's important to pay attention what's going on. Snoring is a big one and it affects a lot of people. There are lots of different causes for snoring, so it's important to figure out why you're snoring so you can get the appropriate treatment. Talk to your doctor and you can get a referral to the appropriate specialist. Sleep apnea is related to snoring. If you're snoring loudly that's a symptom. And if you find that you're falling asleep during the day unintentionally talk to your doctor. Because sleep apnea is a pretty serious condition and your want to get treatment. Heartburn can also cause problems with your sleep. It can keep you up at night. It can wake you up at night. And it can just leave you feeling lousy in the morning. There are over-the-counter treatments available for it or you can change your diet or talk to your doctor about medications to get it under control. If you find that you go to the bathroom a lot in the night, limit your fluids a few hours before you go to bed. Sometimes it takes the body that long to metabolize whatever you're drinking. A lot of people struggle with pain keeping them up at night. If you find that you're talking a lot of over-the-counter medications or you find that pain is disrupting your sleep on a regular basis, talk to your doctor about a regiment that may be more helpful for you. That could be medication, but it could also be relaxation strategies, yoga, stretching, physical therapy, or even psychotherapy to help you manage your pain better. Overall it's just better to pay attention to whats going on in your body because your health can have a big impact on the quality of your sleep.
