When picking a wedding venue you have to consider size and budget before anything. Make sure it can fit all of your people and that you can make a comfortable wedding there. It should not eat up all of your budget. Consider location, definitely look at pictures from previous weddings at that venue, sometimes they are provided by the venue themselves, but also by a local photographers. Choosing a venue definitely look for little key items, is it a clean place? is it well kept? is the manager really capable helping you run your wedding? those can make everything so much better. At the venue, you should see if food is included and if there are any packages offered. I love weddings at home. There is nothing more personal, just remember putting 5 or 100 people in your house can definitely beat it up. You will have to move furniture. Consider the cost that are associated with the home wedding, but if you can pull it off, there is nothing more beautiful. You can get married at all sorts of different venues, there are restaurants, there are banquet halls, there are hotels, there are country clubs, even local restaurants. Getting married in a public space like a park or beach can be absolutely magical, just remember that anybody walking in the park or beach can also be a part of your wedding. Make sure you want all of those people there as well. Also, be sure to get all of the proper permits, otherwise you don't want the cops shutting down your wedding. Some girls dream of having a big fancy plaza wedding, go for it if you can, it's tons of fun. When choosing your wedding venue, don't just look at the building itself, but look at the surroundings. If you get married in the middle of New York, there are some great pictures to be taken in central park. There are lots of options for wedding venues, make sure it is a place that fits your budget, size, and style.
