My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect wedding. How to drink at a wedding is a very interesting question. Firstly, we should not serve any liquor until after the ceremony actually happens. And after that clearly, most weddings will have an open bar. When one is making a wedding, the bridal party comes nice and early and the one thing they want to do first is drink. But when you're taking photographs. when you're walking down the aisle. When you're gonna be making a speech at the wedding. All of those things require that you be alcohol free. Alcohol should not be drank by a best man or maid of honor if they're giving a toast, until after they give the toast. Because truly it will not come out as nice as you want it to and it will probably be video graphed and you'll be very, very embarrassed. Most bride and grooms and most parents of the brides and grooms, grandparents, should not be having any drinks at all until dinner if it's possible because it changes the nature of the way you look. And if you don't look very well, you don't photograph very well and the photographer can not hide it. Your face changes, your eyes change when you drink. So try to avoid it until later in the evening. So when you're walking down the aisle. When you're making a speech. When you're at a wedding. Try to modify what you drink because you will be a better person for it.
