Hey. My name is Erin and I'm a former U.S. Junior Olympic certified swim coach and personal trainer. And fitness is my passion so I cannot wait to share it with you guys. All right. Now you're going to set down your light weights. Pick up a heavier dumbbell or a kettlebell, if you have one. This is nice because it just hangs nicely between your legs for your plié squat. And with the plié squat, it's exactly what it sounds like. In ballet, ballerinas do pliés. So you're going to turn your feet out, not uncomfortably, just slightly, 45 degree angle. Tuck the butt under. Roll the shoulders up and back. And yo'u're going to plié down and up. Down and up. Make sure that the weight doesn't drag you forward. You never, ever want to do anything with a curved back. So just coming down and up. As you get more advanced, you can come up onto your toes. Plié down and come up. Plié down and come up.
