How to Do Mountain Climbers for a Female Leg Workout

Hey, my name is Erin and I'm a former U.S. Junior Olympics certified swim coach and personal trainer. And fitness is my passion, so I cannot wait to share it with you guys.

A great move that also will get your heart rate up is the mountain climber. Not everybody's favorite. I happen to love it. You can do these for intervals of 30 seconds to a minute. I usually say 45 seconds. Set your timer and just go.

So, bringing feet nice and light, tucking the knee up. It's not so bad. And it really gets your heart rate up, so you can throw that in, in between any workout that you're doing. If you're doing a circuit, add some mountain climbers between, you know, your bicep curl and your overhead press. It will really help to keep the heart rate up, get you in that fat burning zone, depending on your goal. Also good, activates the core.
