My name is Paul Sandberg. I'm an actor, singer and teacher in the New York City area. I first got started singing in my junior year of high school in northern California. I had a free period all of a sudden and choir had the prettiest women. But after a little while, it became more than just the pretty girls. Singing really spoke to me. You see, there's zero degrees of separation between singing and your mind and heart. Unlike playing the piano or playing the oboe or any other instrument, you have a thought, it hits your vocal chords and it's out in the world. And there's something really truthful and real and scary and exhilarating about that experience. So I decided to go to college for it. Went to California State University of Long Beach and majored in opera performance. And that was wonderful for a while until I realized that musical theater was really a stronger calling for me. So I decided to do my graduate work at NYU Steinhardt. While I was at Steinhardt I taught voice lessons for two years. And now I continue to teach voice lessons through my own private studio. After graduating from NYU, I performed regionally as well as off Broadway and continued to audition for roles. If you'd like to hear more about me, please visit my website at www.paulsandberg.net.
