"Hi, I'm Taylor Nissi, Director of Operations for Game Breaker Lacrosse. I'm here today with Nick Schmidt who's one of our great regional directors. Please visit our website www.laxcamps.com. wall ball is a great technique that we use to help practice our skills it's very basic and you can do it on your own all you need is do it yourself a ball on the wall. Basically all you are gonna do is practice passing a ball off the wall. That's sounds very simple but as you challenge yourself and as you become more comfortable you should start incorporating technique that you use in the game. For example just passing off the wall you wanna be sure that you catching using proper technique. Catching the back behind you helps that you are in triple pair position. You don't wanna come out and snap at the ball. Well it's always important to work on your dominant hand. You need to spend equal if not more time developing your non dominant hand. There are variety of different wall balls that we can use. Most common is just righty to righty and lefty to lefty. after that for any position whether you defensemen, a mid-fielder and offensive position. You can practice passing catching in split dodge, passing catching in roll dodge and you can practice all the various moves that you will use. The most important thing about wall ball is that you have fun with it and you continue to practice and develop the skills that you are gonna use in a game. It's one of my favorite things because it encourages players to take ownership over the skill development and allows you to work on your own as much as you want to. It develops stick skills which is the most important part being successful to game of lacrosse.
