"How to Make a Princess Doll Cake: Assembly

Today we're going to be making a princess doll cake, anything a little girl would love to have. For this purpose I have used a mold pan so a large mold shaped pan you can purchase just about anywhere, a cake supply store. You can if you'd like to cut your cake and ice it, but for this purpose I'm just going to ice the entire cake and we'll use that to make our doll cake. So we're just going to give it some icing on the outside just to alleviate any crumbs. Again, if you do want to cut it and fill it with icing, you can. You can cut it into 3 layers or you can cut it into 2 layers, but I'm just going to keep it as a whole cake for today. And we're just going to do the icing down to this very bottom here. We're not going to go all the way down to the board. And then we'll smooth it out and wipe off any excess icing. And we don't need any more icing than this for right now because we're going to come back and give it another light coating so that we can decorate it. So we'll rest this in the frig for about 45 minutes and then we'll come back and decorate our princess doll."
