I'm now going to show you how to make a pop-up house.

So, take a piece of cardstock. I've cut mine in half to create the base page. Fold it in half, matching the edges and corners, and creasing it really well. Unfold it and set it to the side.

So, you're going to need a piece of cardstock that's going to be your base page. Fold it in half, and crease it really well on the edge. Unfold it and set it aside.

Next, we're going to take another piece of cardstock and we're going to cut out a long rectangle. If you feel comfortable you can take a ruler and a blade and cut out your long rectangle.

So now, I'm going to match up the edges and fold down the center. And, if your edges don't quite match, just trim them so that they do.

Before we unfold it we're going to fold it again in the middle. Match the edges. Crease it really well. Unfold it and unfold it again.

So, now we have four equal sides that are going to become the house. So, make sure that they're creased really well. And this is going to become a box.

So now, what we're going to do is, we're going to tape the edges together. So, take a piece of tape and stick it on the inside so the sticky side's out. Match the edge. And now we've created a box. So, set that aside.

And now, what we're going to do is, we're going to cut out a V-fold that's going to become the roof of the house. So, take a piece of cardstock and fold it in half and make a really wide V-fold.

So, here's our wide V. Now what we're going to do is, we're going to cut the top off to create the roof. So, now we have the roof.

And I actually have printed out a piece from a template that has the V-fold already connected to the box. So, I'm just going to quickly fold the box. And it has two tabs at the bottom that will attach the base page.

I'm going to put a little bit of double stick tape on this tab. Fold that over and make sure it gets stuck together. So, now we've created a box.

And now, for the roof, we're going to put double stick tape on this tab, right here. And that's going to create a tented V-fold. That means that it won't lay flat all the way when it's open. But that's okay because it creates the sense of a pitched roof.

So, there is our house with a tented V-fold on it to create the roof. So, take your base page. And we're going to put double stick tape on one of the tabs on the underside. And close it.

What we're going to do is, we're going to line up this front corner of the house with the corner, or the center of the base page. And make sure that double stick sticks to the base page.

And, bring the piece over so that we see the other tab. We're going to double stick that as well. Close the pop-up and make sure that that tab sticks to the base page.

Open it and that's how we make a pop-up house.
