Middle school can be tough. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it's always going to be easy, and everyday is wonderful, and nobody never feels lonely or like they have no idea what they're doing, because that wasn't my experience at all. Some days I felt completely clueless.
Here's some tips to help you survive. To start, take things one day at a time, one assignment at a time, one friendship at a time, anything to make you feel more in control. Try to keep your priorities in check. You're at school to learn. Your friends are incredibly important, and you should stick with them, but don't get caught up in silly drama and gossip, because honestly, it changes every five minutes and only distracts you from your schoolwork.
Remember, when you're having an extremely bad day, because they will happen, the tough times pass. Just remember to keep looking forward, get a good night's sleep. Things look so much brighter the next day.
Finally, don't be too hard on yourself. This is something that I always had trouble with because I was too busy figuring out how to be perfect, how to be better, how to be better. It's okay to just be who you are and let that be perfect, let that be good enough.
Challenge yourself and take advantage of new opportunities, but don't be too upset if you fall just a teeny bit short of your expectations. You will survive.
