Light therapy is something that most aestheticians now added into their menu of services, and it's something that I find that's super exciting in skin care right now.
LED light therapy, as it's most properly known as, is something that's like having a magic wand in the treatment room. I can do anything to a client's face whether it be extractions, or a peel, or really any kind of a treatment, and then apply LED light afterward onto the skin and it just makes the skin look incredibly perfect at the end. So a lot of dermatologists use it after peels or after laser treatments because it takes away redness and makes everything look perfect in the skin.
In a treatment, all you would need to look for is any type of treatment that you think that your skin needs. In other words, if you'd like to have a peel or just a good old fashioned facial with extractions, most aestheticians can add light therapy at the end of the service. And light therapy is either applied by putting a panel of light around your face, or they use a handheld device and they apply it in small portions all over the skin.
It's been clinically proven to produce collagen, and it speeds the bodies natural healing process by 300 percent. So there's nothing bad about light therapy, there are no side effects, and it's safe for all skin types and I highly recommend it.
