Bam Margera: So, the first trick we're going to teach you is the ollie, because if you're going to skateboard, you must learn this trick first, because every skateboarder knows how to do an ollie. Kerry, what do you think you should do first?
Kerry Gatz: The first thing you really want to learn is to have to have grip tape on your board. You don't want to ride a board without grip tape.
Bam: Absolutely, that's a must.
Kerry: The grip tape's going to grab your foot as you ollie, and it's going to tear your shoe apart over the weeks of skating. But the two most important things to do when you ollie, is the bending part of your front foot. And your back foot is always going to have to click the tail first, and then bend your foot and slide it up. So, the two main things are bending your foot and sliding it up the board, to level your back of your tail off.
Bam: Also, the more you put your back foot up, the more it tweaks out like this and it looks way radder that way.
Kerry: Yeah, and it just levels the board out.
Bam: So, that's how you do an ollie.
