Kerry Gatz: All right, so your heel flips are going to be pretty much identical to your kick flips, where you're going to be using your heel or your foot which is going to be hanging off the side. You don't want it over here, you want to hang it off, so you get this part of your foot doing the heel flip.
It's the same thing, you want to definitely level your board out and then kick on an angle out that way, not to the side because that would cause mom flips, and that's definitely not what you want to do. So, you always want to level, kick your foot out on a nice angle and level that board out, is the key. You always want to bring your tail up, leveling it out.
Bam Margera: Heel flips are a hard one to not mob, so you've got to press it out as far as you can so if it gets boned out, then you can catch it. It's very important.
Kerry: Always remember to ollie first, and then get that heel flip instead of just trying to use your heel and kicking down. You want to kick that nice angle out and get that solid ollie first.
Bam: So, there's your heel flip.
