Here are some tips for walking in a platform high heel. A platform heel is a heel in which the front of the shoe is built up, creating that platform. Many hoes designers integrate the platform to make a little bit higher heel height. When walking in the platform heel, your body weight is going to be shifted a little bit more forward because there's a little bit higher heel. You still want to maintain the same walk where you're going heel-toe, heel-toe. But again you're always striking on the ball of the foot. You're still going to have to focus on that strong posture, shoulders back, stomach in, with the body weight shifted a little bit more forward because you're balancing a little bit more higher on the ball of the foot.
Also when walking in platform heels, you want to remember to keep your stride, or the distance between each step, a little bit closer and a little bit slower. Why designers integrate the platform is that that's a trick to get a little bit higher heel height. If you did not have that platform, you physically would not be able to achieve six-inch heels, seven-inch heels.
