When it comes to assessing your porn use, I think by even being on this page there's a part of you that maybe already considering perhaps is excessive. I think ultimately we all our are own expert. So you need to think to yourself in what way am I going to porn, is it something I'm using occasionally because it's part of my psychological arousal and self stimulation masturbation experience. Or is it feeling more compulsive. When you start to realize it no longer feels like pleasure seeking, tension relieving or to go to sleep. If it becomes something that is intrusive in your thinking. Where you find yourself isolating. Where your finding yourself no longer aroused by your partner and really preferring the novelty of new sexual experiences that you're seeing online or on movies. That's when you need to really consider is this something that is giving you more pleasure or ultimately is it taking away from what I imagine is your target, in the the idea being having mutually satisfying sexual experiences with a partner. So one of the tipping points is when you start to feel distressed or notice you would like to cut down on your use and find that, that's difficult or that you're having intrusive thoughts. That's when it's important to do a self assessment. A lot of good ones are online. And really reach out to a professional so that they can thoroughly work with you to evaluate where is this in your life right now and whether it's sort of a healthy choice or it's crossed over to the dangerous area of what can feel like addiction.
