Confidence is about how you carry yourself, but it’s also about how you integrate your experiences. The most confident people are those people who go out and practice. I do not believe that somebody is born confident. I believe that you create confidence and a confident person is going to say yes to opportunities and they’re going to go out and practice. Everybody starts as a novice, some people have more advantages than other people, but at the end of the day, everybody starts at the beginning. It’s your choice how you choose to run the race. If you want to become a more confident person, you need to say yes, you need to open yourself up to experiences and you need to let yourself practice. You need fall down, you need to fail, you need to make mistakes and you need to pick yourself back up. A confident person feels good about the way that they do something because they’ve practiced it. You know, confidence does not happen overnight. One of my most favorite quotes is that, “It takes ten years to become an overnight success.” You need to put in your time, you need to put in the work, the blood, sweat and tears to bring about a desired result. So, confidence looks easy, but it’s the produce of a lot of time and a lot of energy committed to a specific outcome. So, to become more confident, just get out there and practice.
