The nicotine lozenge. The nicotine lozenge is another one of the top three favorite nicotine replacement therapies. The way that it works is you pop a nicotine lozenge into your mouth. It dissolves in your mouth within about twenty to thirty minutes. However, if you're someone who's prone to chew on hard candy or if you're an ice chewer, this may not be the one for you, because you cannot chew into the lozenge and break them up like you do a jawbreaker. You need to let the nicotine slowly dissolve into your mucus membranes in your mouth. It is over the counter, and if you do suffer from acid reflux, this may not be a good one for you either because it can create acid reflux as well. They come in many different flavors, and this might be the one for you. And again, if you are on the patch and you need an emergency, quick nicotine fix, instead of ripping off the patch and smoking, pop a lozenge in your mouth. Let it dissolve for twenty minutes. That should take care of that craving.
