Hey guys, it's Max Tapper again with Howcast. Today I'm going to show you something fun. These are called sliding push-ups.
Basically what they are is, we're going to be putting our hands on something like this. These are little hand pads that go on the floor and they're very slippery. What they allow you to do is in your push-ups slide your hands out to the side and bring them back in. Slide them out and bring them back in.
Now, what that does is just challenge your body in a completely different way. Challenge your core in a completely different way as well. So I like to do these as a mixture in, let's say, any bigger workout. They're fun to do, they're challenging, and these don't take up much space in your bag. So let me show you how these work. Okay? So this is the position we're going to be in. We're gonna grab our pads, hand on top of the pads, and honestly you can do this with anything. You can put your hands up in socks if you want them to be slippery on the floor but this is what it's going to look like. Out to the side on the way down, slide in on the way up.
As you see, this is a fun exercise to do. It's very challenging and a good way for you to up a notch and your workout. Especially if you need something different to do to get away from the monotony, some sliding push-ups would definitely do the job. Enjoy.
