Today we're going to talk about wearing a full weave with color.
The most important thing that you have to remember when you're trying to wear a weave with color, is to color your own hair first. The reason why you want to do this is because hair color doesn't take the same on weave hair as it does on your own hair, and your weave hair also depends on where you bought it, and who you bought it from.
The best weave hair to use for coloring is Virgin Remy hair. You don't want any processing to have been done on the hair if possible. For example, if you want to, if you have black hair and you want to make your hair a number two, which is like a brownish color, you put a number two color on your hair. Then you have weave hair that's black that you want to make a number two to match it. You may not be able to use that same color on your weave hair, so you put that on your weave hair, but it's still too dark.
So technically you probably needed to use a number three on your weave hair to get to number two. The best thing to do when coloring your weave hair is to take small samples of your hair, cut like maybe one quarter of an inch length in sample pieces, and color them one at a time with different colors and/or different strengths of peroxide, and see which one matches the color of your hair. That way you can wear a weave with color, and maintain the integrity and health of your hair.
