Hi guys, this is Max Tapper again for HowCast and today what I'm going to do is just answer a question that I received, "What is a super set?"
Now a lot of you guys may know but for you guys that don't know, a super set just means doing two separate exercises back to back. Now, technically they can be any different body parts or they can be the same body part. For example, doing a chest press then all of a sudden jumping to do a pull-up, that's a super set. Or, doing a chest press then jumping on the floor and doing a push up. That is a super set. So just two separate exercises done back to back is a super set. And you can use it in any different type of combination that you want but they're an awesome way to challenge your body and just do different things. One of my favorite super sets is doing dumbbell presses on the bench and then right after that going to do a pull up. So you're going to be working two extremely large muscle in two big movements. That's an awesome super set for increasing your musculature and for also burning a lot of calories and gaining stabilization.
